SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) – Two Springfield Township Police officers are recovering after getting tased, while trying to take-down a suspect early Thursday morning.
Police call the suspect dangerous and is still out there. Police last saw 20-year-old Jeffrey Portis near the intersection of Compton and Winton Roads around 3am Thursday.
And, while trying to make a positive I.D. on Portis, officers said he got violent.
Springfield Township Police already had Portis in the back seat of their cruiser and had just confirmed he was already wanted from a police chase in the West End on Dayton Street, from October 28th.
