The San Antonio Spurs are really, really good, but they have a tendency to be really, really, really boring.
Good old-fashioned defense, surgical execution of offensive ball movement, pick-and-roll, etc., etc.
Their star for the last two decades is nicknamed “The Big Fundamental,” which doesn’t exactly scream excitement.
That is, until second-year forward Kawhi Leonard changed the Spurs’ tune a bit last night with a high-flying posterizing dunk over Golden State forward Harrison Barnes.
Leonard got a pass from guard Danny Green, took a few strides, and rose up over Golden State’s Harrison Barnes for the throw-down.
It looks much more impressive in slow-mo, perhaps some sort of tribute to the Spurs’ typical style of play.
