Florida police are reporting that George Zimmerman has emerged from hiding in order to rescue an individual from an overturned truck. Sanford Police Capt. Jim McAuliffe told ABC News that Zimmerman “pulled an individual from a truck that had rolled over” last week.

The truck rolled over on a Florida highway at the intersection of 1-4 and route 417.

The rescue was the first time Zimmerman has been spotted since July 11th, when he was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin in February 2012.

Zimmerman and his family have reportedly been receiving numerous death threats since the trial.

Additionally, Zimmerman’s lawyers report that he has been wearing a bulletproof vest when going out in public, according to ABC.

In the wake of Zimmerman’s acquittal, numerous protests have sprung up across the county calling for “Justice for Trayvon.”

In a statement Friday, President Obama addressed the country’s anxiety regarding race relations in the aftermath of Zimmerman’s acquittal.
