Officials have given the all-clear at 9:50 a.m. after an active shooter was reported Monday morning at Fort Lee, an Army base in Virginia.
The shooter is reportedly injured and in police custody. The Fort Lee Facebook page is describing the shooter as a female soldier who reportedly shot herself, and says her condition is unknown.
An alert and base-wide lockdown were issued just after 9:00 a.m.
Their Twitter account, @ArmyFortLee, revealed that the shooting took place at the Army’s Combined Arms Support Command headquarters:
Active shooter incident reported at CASCOM HQ, Bldg. 5020. All personnel enact active shooter protocols immediately. Post on lockdown.
