President Barack Obama took India Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C. Tuesday for their first public trip after dining last night.
Modi, who was fasting for the Hindu holiday Navratri at the time of the scheduled dinner, arrived at the White House for an Oval Office meeting with Obama early Tuesday afternoon.

Obama infamously removed the bust of Winston Churchill, America’s ally in WWII, from the Oval Office in 2009 and replaced it with a bust of King.
