The Crawley family got a taste of real royalty Thursday when a very pregnant Kate Middleton visited the set of “Downton Abbey.”

The Duchess of Cambridge, who has made her obsession with the show publicly known, visited Ealing Studios in London on Thursday to meet and chat with the lords and ladies of the show, like creator Julien Fellowes and Zac Barker, one of the twin four-year-olds who plays George.

“Downton Abbey” is one of the most profitable British television shows to date, and while visiting, Middleton got a sneak peek of the filming of the sixth season.

Laura Carmichael plays Lady Edith Crawley — the one who almost burned the house down after throwing a book in the fire — and she said Middleton helped put “Downton Abbey” on the map.
