Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner Will Receive Arthur Ashe Award For Courage At 2015 ESPY’s

“Vanity Fair” published the first photos reality-TV star star Bruce Jenner as a woman on Monday, but that wasn’t the only big news involving “Caitlyn” coming out of the weekend. (RELATED: Here’s Your First Look At Bruce Jenner As “Caitlyn” [PHOTOS])

According to ESPN, Jenner will be the recipient of the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the 2015 ESPY’s.

Last year, the award was given to Montreal Alouettes lineman Michael Sam, who became the first openly gay player in the NFL after coming out in the lead-up to the 2014 draft. (RELATED: First Openly Gay NFL Player Inks Deal To Play In Canada)

Prior to his stint on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” Jenner gained fame as one of the United States’ all-time great Olympians. He took home the gold-medal in decathlon at the ’76 Summer Games in Montreal and was known for his hark-work and determination. Of his Olympic victory, Jenner is quoted as saying, “I got the rest of my life to recuperate.
