Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera has been denied access to Viagra and conjugal visits since landing back in prison January 8, according to a Saturday Associated Press report.

The imprisoned head of the Sinaloa Cartel and reported billionaire is currently being held in the Altiplano maximum security prison — where he also escaped in July 2015. El Chapo is being watched like a hawk by two guards outside his cell at all times.

Before his 2015 jailbreak, El Chapo had access to both erectile dysfunction medication and conjugal visits — now he doesn’t even get television privileges. The drug boss’s conjugal visits were allowed to last up to four hours and he could schedule them once every nine days. The information regarding El Chapo’s private life are from an unnamed official who spoke with the Associated Press.

He now preoccupies himself with books and has already finished the classic “Don Quixote” by Miguel de Cervantes — the Shakespeare of Spanish — and has since moved on to self-help books.

Since his January imprisonment, El Chapo has reportedly gained weight and his blood pressure has gone down. The drug kingpin’s lawyers are rapidly trying to extradite their client to the U.S. and want to cut a sweetheart deal that would land him in a medium security prison.
