Using the pseudonym “Pizza Party Ben,” Breitbart News bylined an article Wednesday afternoon bashing its former editor-at-large Ben Shapiro. Shapiro writes for TheDailyWire. He’s also an Orthodox Jew.

Shapiro resigned from the site in March after higher-ups wouldn’t support Michelle Fields in her one-woman victim crusade against Donald Trump aide Corey Lewandowski. Lewandowksi apparently brusquely touched Fields at a campaign event in Jupiter, Fla. She tried to get him convicted of simple assault, but the charges never stuck and the state attorney threw the case in the trash where it belongs.

The Mirror is told that “Pizza Party Ben” is allegedly the man who Breitbart News “dangerous faggot” reporter Milo Yiannopoulos affectionately calls his “lover.” He even has a cute Twitter handle: “DJ Pop A Titty Out.”

In the story, the author pummels Shapiro for being anti-Trump and pleads with Shapiro to come home, begging him to be the person he was six months ago. “Pizza Party Ben” also accuses him of “inheriting leftist humorlessness.”

“What ever happened to Little Ben Shapiro? The Daily Wire’s Ben used to be one of my conservative idols, battling against the name-calling, irrational social justice warriors and dropping conservative truth bombs. I looked up to him and believed in what he was doing. Not any more!”

The author writes that Shapiro “has started playing the victim on Twitter and throwing around allegations of anti-semitism and racism, just like the people he used to mock.”

When asked for comment, Shapiro told The Mirror,  “Breitbart News has apparently lost what was left of their Trump-addled minds. Don’t do Trump, kids.”

The bad blood didn’t necessarily originate with Breitbart News. In recent days, Shapiro has been disemboweling Breitbart News for its “renegade Jew” tirade against The Weekly Standard‘s editor Bill Kristol.

In a story published on May 16, Shapiro said the label was not surprising coming from Breitbart News.

“I am a former employee of both Breitbart News and David Horowitz. I left Breitbart under rather public circumstances thanks to their overweening allegiance to Donald Trump, which led to them treating decent people like trash. I founded the website TruthRevolt under the auspices of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and I consider David both a mentor and a friend. But this article is garbage.”

The clincher: “On Saturday, we held a brit milah for my newborn son (after whose birth, Trump supporters, including Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos, spammed me with viciously racist or anti-Semitic material).”

And there’s this: “I’ve made my thoughts on Breitbart clear before. But since my departure, they’ve become something far worse than Trump’s Pravda – they’ve become a cite that openly panders to alt-right anti-Semitism and soft white supremacism.”

If that wasn’t enough to draw “Pizza Party Ben’s” ire, National Review published a story by Shapiro Wednesday about the anti-Semites who support Trump and called for his wife and two kids to be sent to a gas chamber.

“I’ve experienced more pure, unadulterated anti-Semitism since coming out against Trump’s candidacy than at any other time in my political career. Trump supporters have threatened me and other Jews who hold my viewpoint. They’ve blown up my e-mail inbox with anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. They greeted the birth of my second child by calling for me, my wife, and two children to be thrown into a gas chamber. Yes, seriously.”

The Mirror sought comment from Milo Yiannopoulos as well as Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow. Marlow had no immediate reply to my question: “What the hell kind of byline is Pizza Party Ben?”
