The ESPN host who called Donald Trump a white supremacist in a series of tweets earlier this week isn’t backing down.
Jemele Hill, who serves as co-host of “The Six” on SportsCenter, issued a statement on Twitter late Wednesday night regarding her comments about the president, and it certainly wasn’t an apology. (RELATED: Colin Kaepernick Supports ESPN Host Who Called Trump A White Supremacist)

“My comments on Twitter expressed my personal beliefs. My regret is that my comments and the public way I made them painted ESPN in an unfair light. My respect for the company and my colleagues remains unconditional,” the statement read.
Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.

Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period.

ESPN addressed Hill’s comments about the president earlier this week, but made no indication that she was being disciplined or asked to issue an apology for the remarks.
“The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN,” the sports network’s public relations department said in the statement. “We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”
