Rapper Nelly was arrested Saturday morning in Washington state for alleged sexual assault, Fox News reported.

The 42-year-old rapper — whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. — was taken into custody in his bus outside a Walmart near Seattle after a woman accused him of raping her on his tour bus, according to police spokesman Commander Steve Stocker. (RELATED: Rapper Nelly Arrested On Felony Drug Charges)

A copy of the press release detailing the “Hot In Herre” singer’s arrest was shared on Twitter.

Nelly is on tour with the country music band Florida Georgia Line and performed Friday night at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn.

“Our initial investigation clearly establishes this allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness,” the singer’s attorney Scott Rosenblum said in an email. “I am confident, once this scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to address and pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”

Authorities said the rapper will appear at “some point” before a judge to deal with the charges, though no other details were provided.
