Actor Colin Firth, who previously worked for Woody Allen, said in a statement Thursday that he will no longer work for Allen after a barrage of sexual assault allegations hit the renowned director.
Firth, who starred in Allen’s 2o13 film titled “Magic in the Moonlight,” won’t work for the director again after Allen’s stepdaughter, Dylan Farrow, accused the director of molesting her as a child, reported The Guardian. Farrow previously criticized Hollywood for staying silent about sexual misconduct allegations against her father.
Allen “touched her private parts” at age seven, Farrow said Thursday during an interview with CBS News.
“I have long maintained that when I was 7 years old, Woody Allen led me into an attic, away from the babysitters who had been instructed never to leave me alone with him. He then sexually assaulted me. I told the truth to the authorities then, and I have been telling it, unaltered, for more than 20 years,” Farrow wrote in an op-ed, claiming that the #MeToo movement was selective.
Farrow’s brother, Ronan Farrow, wrote that he believed his sister’s accusations, saying that even at age five, he was suspicious of his father’s strange behavior.
