We’re about a week away from the release of “Tomb Raider,” and it’s going to be awesome.
The plot of the rebooted series, according to IMDB, reads, “Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared.”

The last movie I hyped was “Red Sparrow,” and we all know how that one turned out. It was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Just downright pathetic. I’m really praying that I don’t make the same mistake here.
“Tomb Raider” has a rock-star cast that includes Alicia Vikander and Walton Goggins. For those of you who don’t already know, Goggins played arguably the greatest character in television history when he was Boyd Crowder on FX’s “Justified.”
This makes me believe that I’m not about to have my expectations crushed again. I’ll weep openly in the office if this movie sucks after I predicted it wouldn’t. With a smoke show like Vikander and a superstar Goggins as the villain, I think we’ll do well.
“Tomb Raider” hits theaters March 16.
