Kellyanne Conway was pressed by reporters at the White House Thursday about whether President Donald Trump is considering another option other than Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.

Reporters asked if the president was looking for other options after his comments Wednesday at a press conference in New York. Trump said he would listen to the testimonies by Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford with an “open mind” and make his decision after the hearing.

When asked if the president plans on flipping on his Kavanaugh support, Kellyanne said, “The president has said nothing of the sort. … He stands by Kavanaugh. And what we understand from the committee is they will receive the testimonies today under oath.”

“He said his mind could be changed –” one reporter said in the scrum.

Kellyanne turned to the reporter asking the question and said, “He has an open mind. I’m sure that disappointed you because you had to put it in your coverage, but he could be convinced, which means he has an open mind for testimony.”

Kavanaugh is facing multiple allegations of sexual assault. He has denied all charges.
