People legally bet a stunning amount of money on NFL games this season.

According to the Action Network’s Darren Rovell, $750 million were legally wagered on pro football games in America. Rovell also pointed out legalized gambling is a part of the reason television ratings are up for the league. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 15 Of The NFL Season)

Ladies and gentlemen, this news has me smiling ear-to-ear. I couldn’t be happier right now, and there’s two main reasons why.

First, I’m glad people are taking up the opportunity to legally gamble on sports. There’s really nothing better than throwing some money down and taking in all the action. Nothing really beats it. I’m so damn happy sports gambling is going over so well since the federal ban got struck down. It’s a win for a America.

Secondly, the fact the ratings are up and gambling likely played a big role means the NFL is only going to further embrace it.

We all know pro sports leagues absolutely love money. Higher television ratings translate directly into more cash. That’s how all of that works. It’s a fact.

The NFL might not like the idea of gambling on sports, but they do love money. At the end of the day, they’re going to embrace anything that makes their wallets a little bigger, and gambling is doing that right now.

So, go out there and wager some money on Week 17, the playoffs and who you think will win the Super Bowl.

God bless this beautiful country that we all call home.
