Ladies and gentlemen, we’re only 109 days out from the return of college football.

The season kicks off August 24 when Florida and Miami play, and I couldn’t be more excited. Just yesterday, I was mocked by people for saying I remain laser-focused all offseason. Excuse me, I thought this was America. (RELATED: Will Jack Coan Or Graham Mertz Start At Quarterback For The Wisconsin Badgers?)

In this country, we remain focused on football around the clock. In this country, we drink cold beer and we don’t ever take our eyes away from the prize of a national championship.

Sure, it might only be May, but it’s never too early to get started on scouting, analyzing the depth charts and much more.

May is like the ending scene in “Friday Night Lights” when the roster is being broken down.

It might be 109 days out, but you better be incredibly juiced if you’re a fan of cold beer and freedom. There’s nothing better than a Saturday morning in Madison.

The beer starts flowing once the shower gets turned on, the women are all hot, everybody is in their Badgers gear and we’re ready to make some fun memories.

It’s an experience I’ve had countless times, and I’ll go to my grave viewing it as heaven on earth.

What will happen? Who will win? Who will lose? What joy will we feel? What heartbreak will we suffer? These are the question that will all be answered in a few months.

These are the questions we will debate endlessly, and I hope you all are going to have as much fun as I will. As for my Badgers, we’re ready to ball out, but we’ll have to wait until August 30 to get our journey underway.

I can’t wait to cleanse ourselves of last season.
