CNN’s Jim Acosta used Twitter on Monday to criticize former White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders’ Arkansas gubernatorial bid announcement.
Sanders officially announced her intention to run for governor on Monday morning with a video that claims she “took on the media, the radical left and their cancel culture, and I won” during her more than two years as White House press secretary.

Acosta took particular issue with the former White House press secretary’s contention that she “won.”
“Cancel culture? She won? Sarah tried to ban me from the WH (using a doctored video) and lost in federal court,” Acosta tweeted. “The Trump appointed federal judge wasn’t buying her lies. This campaign is going to be gaslit.”

Acosta’s press credentials were revoked in November 2018 for allegedly refusing to hand over his microphone to an intern and behaving in an unruly manner during a press conference with former President Donald Trump. It was eventually reinstated by a federal court ruling that stated his rights to due process were violated. Sanders is the daughter of former longtime Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
