Arizona police recovered a body 465 feet below the rim of the Grand Canyon Thursday. The body was believed to be a missing Kentucky man, ABC reported.
Authorities said 40-year-old John Pennington went missing on or about Feb. 23 while riding his motorcycle near the South Kaibab Trailhead rim of the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona.
A yellow motorcycle, believed to be Pennington’s Suzuki, was also recovered near his body, according to ABC.

There was also no clear indication as to whether Pennington purposely drove into the canyon, and an investigation remained ongoing, the Associated Press reported. (RELATED: Human Remains Found Inside Crocodile As Authorities Search For Missing Fisherman)
