According to Tom Pelissero, Bridgewater was traded to the Broncos for only the 191st trade in the upcoming draft. That’s not much for a guy who has plenty of starts and is a former first round pick!

The #Panthers get the 191st overall pick in this year’s draft in exchange for QB Teddy Bridgewater, per source, as well as cap flexibility in 2021 and 2022.
The #Broncos get a quarterback their new GM, George Paton, knows well from Minnesota.

Am I crazy here or are the Broncos coming out as huge winners here? They get a serviceable quarterback to compete with Drew Lock, only have to pay part of his contract and only had to give up a sixth round pick.
This seems like highway robbery on paper.
Carolina will pay a portion of Bridgewater’s 2021 compensation as part of a restructured contract to finalize the deal to Denver, which now has competition for Drew Lock … and options with the No. 9 pick. https://t.co/R7ryftKY6T

We all knew the Panthers were likely going to move Bridgewater after they traded for Sam Darnold, but I’m not sure anyone expected them to only bag the 191st pick in return.

Now, it’s 100% the Darnold show in Carolina and Bridgewater and Lock will battle it out to see who starts in Denver. What a wild afternoon of NFL action.
