Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan will join Fox News Media and News Corp for a “new global TV show,” News UK said in a Thursday statement.
Morgan’s new TV show will air in the U.S., U.K., and Australia on weeknights beginning in 2022, according to the press release. It will stream on Fox Nation in the U.S., Sky News Australia, and talkTV in the U.K. The television personality also joined the New York Post and The Sun and will write two weekly online columns.
The publishing company HarperCollins UK signed the world rights for Morgan’s new book, which will be published in audio and digital formats in addition to hardback, according to the press release. Morgan said that he wants his new show to “be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews.” The television personality plans to use his platform as “a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be vigorously examined and challenged.”

“I’m also delighted to become a columnist for The Sun and the New York Post, two brilliantly successful and popular newspaper brands,” Morgan added. “I’m going home and we’re going to have some fun.”
“Piers is the broadcaster every channel wants but is too afraid to hire,” News Corp Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch said. “Piers is a brilliant presenter, a talented journalist and says what people are thinking and feeling.”
Morgan left Good Morning Britain in March following comments that he made criticizing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. Morgan called the interview, in which Markle said she had dealt with suicidal thoughts and racism, a “disgraceful betrayal” of Queen Elizabeth II and said that he didn’t “believe a word she says.”
Critics called for Morgan to be fired following his comments. The television host announced his departure hours after he stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain after co-host Alex Beresford mentioned a past “personal relationship” between Morgan and Markle.
The Office of Communications (OFCOM) later cleared Morgan of any wrongdoing in an investigation regarding the comments that ended his career.
