Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is out this upcoming Thursday.

The team announced Monday morning that McCarthy is out against the Saints this week because of COVID-19 protocols. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

It’s not clear whether or not he is symptomatic. You can read the full statement from the team below.

This is really unfortunate for the Cowboys and it’s another reminder that the war against COVID-19 isn’t completely done just yet.

While the NFL has done a great job against the virus, we’re not out of the woods just yet.

The good news for the Cowboys is that they’re capable of beating the Saints no matter who is running the show.

As long as Dak Prescott and the offense play well, not having their head coach out there shouldn’t make or break the game.

Let’s all hope McCarthy has zero symptoms and is back to 100% as soon as possible.
