Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy is not happy with Kayvon Thibodeaux’s comments about Alabama.

The former Oregon star set the internet on fire when he ripped the quality of education you can get at the University of Alabama, and the national champion QB has hit back hard. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

He says he doesn’t like the stigma that athletes are dumb jocks, and yet, he sounds like a dumb jock,” McElroy said Friday on “McElroy and Cubelic In the Morning,” according to the Tuscaloosa News.

“What I don’t understand is why he felt the need to cut down Alabama. And as someone who has always taken his academic situation very seriously, I’ll just come at him with this — if he’d like to take an IQ test, I’m available. If he’d like to take the Wonderlic test, I’m available. As a proud graduate with multiple degrees from Alabama, I will put my degree up against his any day of the week,” he further added.

Props to McElroy for answering the call and taking a stand for Alabama. He was a QB under Nick Saban, won a ring and clearly values the University of Alabama.

Here’s the thing for Thibodeaux. If you’re going to attack an entire university and someone challenges you to an IQ test, you kind of have to take it.

If you’re going to talk that trash, you better back it up.
