Cardi B reportedly pleaded guilty to 3rd-degree assault charges and reckless endangerment in New York City court Thursday, as part of a plea deal that will keep her out of jail.
The famous rapper was sentenced to 15 days of community service as part of the deal, according to TMZ. The charges stem from an alleged August 2018 attack in a strip club in Queens. Cardi B was accused of orchestrating a bottle-throwing attack on two strip club bartenders known as Jade and Baddie Gi, because Cardi B believed Jade had slept with her husband at the time, rapper Offset, according to TMZ.

Cardi B arrived in court dressed in a sharp, all-white outfit to take the plea deal. Jury selection was scheduled to start Friday, and the trial was scheduled for Monday, both of which have been averted, TMZ noted. In addition to her community service obligations, Cardi B has been given an order of protection requiring her to stay away from Jade and Baddie Gi for a period of three years, the outlet reported.
Queens Supreme Court Justice Michelle Johnson asked Cardi B if she understood the terms of her plea agreement, and the 29-year-old rapper softly answered “Yes,” according to the New York Post. (RELATED: R. Kelly Found Guilty Of Child Porn Charges)

“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me,” Cardi B reportedly said to TMZ.
“I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to,” Cardi B said.
The rapper seemed eager to put this matter behind her and focus on her future goals. “These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now,” Cardi B said, according to TMZ.
“I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — music and my fans,” she added, according to the outlet.
