Former President Donald Trump said Monday that the greatest threat facing the U.S. right now is nuclear war.

Trump made the comment during an interview with radio host Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo, who subsequently shared video of the exchange on Rumble. Pags and Trump had just finished discussing the destruction leftist groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter had caused in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and other cities and the failure of Democratic leaders to condemn the rioting.

“It’s actually a very, very — it’s a dangerous time in our country, not only for what’s happening inside with our crooked politicians, but very dangerous when they’re mentioning nuclear weapons on the outside,” Trump told Pags. “And we don’t have the people that know. We do not have the people that know how to handle it, or know what’s going on.” (RELATED: Megyn Kelly Says Journalism ‘Is Dead’ And It’s The ‘Biggest Gift’ Donald Trump Gave America)

In recent months, the threat of nuclear war has risen dramatically. North Korea declared itself a nuclear power, while Russia “temporarily” suspended U.S. inspections of nuclear weapons sites and threatened to defend newly annexed Ukrainian territory with nuclear weapons. In August, the U.S. tested its unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile as part of a routine demonstration to show the country’s readiness for nuclear war.

“The nuclear thing is the biggest threat,” Trump concluded. You can watch his full interview here:
