Former President Donald Trump will hold a rally for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in November, and Gov. Ron DeSantis has reportedly not yet been invited to the event.

Trump announced Wednesday he will hold a Nov. 6 rally for Rubio in Miami, however aides to Trump said DeSantis would not be present, Politico reported. Although Trump and DeSantis have not publicly criticized one another, the two are seen as top GOP candidates who will potentially run for President in 2024. “President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, hosts a ‘Get Out the Vote Rally’ in support of endorsed candidate and special guest Senator Marco Rubio in Florida, where his 2022 endorsement record is currently undefeated, 19-0,” the email from Trump’s PAC reads.

“President Trump delivered a historic red wave for Florida in the 2018 midterms with his slate of endorsed candidates up and down the ballot and molded the Sunshine State into the MAGA stronghold it is today. Thanks to President Trump, Florida is no longer a purple state; it’s an America First Red State,” the email continues.

According to a recent Ipsos Research poll, registered Republicans believe DeSantis should have more influence over the party’s platform than Trump. Seventy-two percent of respondents in the poll chose DeSantis as the politician who should have “a great deal or a good amount of influence on” the party’s political agenda, compared to 64% for Trump.

The Daily Caller contacted both Rubio and Desantis’ offices to which they did not immediately respond.
