Do we have a possible “Snow Bowl” on our hands?
The Buffalo Bills are set to host the Cleveland Browns in some Week 11 action on Nov. 20, but there’s just one problem: Buffalo is expecting to get anywhere from 3-to-6 feet of snow by game time, with the potential of “thundersnow,” as well.
The NFL is monitoring the storm and having talks with both the Bills and Browns, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Forecasts calling for snow totals of 3-to-6 feet by Sunday in Buffalo, including possible “thundersnow.” Last time snow forced NFL to move a game out of Buffalo was 2014, when Jets and Bills played that Monday night in Detroit. NFL monitoring storm, talking to Bills and Browns.

The league doesn’t want to move the game, according to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jonathan Jones, but they will if it’s necessary, with Detroit’s Ford Field reportedly being the most likely choice. A decision is expected to come either later Thursday or Friday.
There are still no changes yet to the schedule for Browns at Bills on Sunday. The league is monitoring the weather and in communication with both teams. Because the Bills play on Thanksgiving, a change of date isn’t likely. Detroit’s Ford Field seems like the obvious contingency.

The NFL doesn’t want to move the game if it’s not necessary, but tomorrow seems to be the deadline for a decision considering the logistics for Browns equipment and Bills travel, should the game move out of Buffalo. League could make the call as early as today.

With the amount of snow Buffalo is likely going to get, we have a solid chance of having that oh-so-glorious crash television. I want the chaos of the New England Patriots and then-Oakland Raiders game back in the 2002 NFL Playoffs (that game was so iconic even the National Weather Service did a piece on it.) I want the lack of vision we saw Wednesday night in a college football contest between Western Michigan and Central Michigan — I actually watched a little bit of that game, too. Holy crap, the entertainment value.
