Police in Arizona are searching for a man who was caught via doorbell camera trying to set fire to a man’s house just days before Christmas.

William Sanders was visiting friends when he received an alert on his phone from his Ring doorbell system showing him that his front porch was on fire, according to a report from Arizona Family News.  Thanks to quick thinking neighbors, the flames were doused before his entire home went up in flames.

Review of the video showed the unknown perpetrator dousing Sanders’ door and walkway with what appeared to be lighter fluid before setting it ablaze. “I have no idea who it is and I have no idea why he would’ve done that. I have racked my brain since it happened trying to figure out if I had done something and I can’t come up with anything,” Sanders told Arizona Family News.

Police are looking for a white male with red hair, approximately 5’9” to 5’ 10” tall with a medium build.

Sanders has lived in the home for five years making memories with his children, grandchildren, and late wife and is grateful that he didn’t lose everything. “I don’t know that I’d know where to begin anymore. All the memories, pictures, things, possessions,” he told the outlet. (RELATED: Police Arrest Mississippi Serial Arsonist Who Allegedly Set Fire To Seven Buildings, Including Two Churches)

“At least I don’t have to start from slab,” Sanders added.
