Everybody hates liars, but also hates Kyrie Irving for being 100% honest. People don’t know what they want.

Superstar two-guard Kyrie Irving — who got off to a solid start with the Dallas Mavericks scoring 24 points in his debut against the Los Angeles Clippers — said that he is “glad” that Kevin Durant “got out of” his Brooklyn Nets situation, the same franchise that Irving was traded away from Feb. 5.

Just minutes after news broke that Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns Feb. 9, Irving told the media that he is “glad that [Durant] got out of there.”

“I’m just praying for [Durant’s] happiness, praying for his well-being,” said Irving after the Mavericks’ 110-104 win. “We had a lot of conversations throughout the year of what our futures were going to look like.”

I love how Kyrie Irving keeps it G at all times.

Say what you want about the guy, but with this particular situation with the Brooklyn Nets, it’s obvious that both Kyrie and Kevin Durant weren’t happy there. It sounds like more of a franchise problem rather than these two, and at the end of the day, this is a business. (RELATED: Trouble In Paradise? With Kyrie’s situation specifically, I know how he said he felt disrespected by the Nets, and to some of us (myself included), respect is one of the biggest things that we’re looking for. So if Kyrie feels the need to bounce from place to place in order to try to find that respect, I’m not going to hate on that man at all for that.

Keep doing you, Kyrie — and always keep it G.
