President Joe Biden reportedly told a press pool Thursday he will “probably not” answer their questions on his way back from vacation.

Biden is currently spending a ten-day vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and has spent over 22% of 2023 on vacation in the state. A press pool spotted the president as he rode his bicycle at 9:13 a.m., according to a press pool email obtained by the Daily Caller.

New York Times White House correspondent Katie Rogers asked Biden if he would take their questions on his way back to Washington D.C.

“Will you talk to us on your way back, Mr. President?” Rogers asked.

“Probably not,” Biden responded.

He also reportedly didn’t answer a question on whether he had been briefed about Niger after the U.S. State Department ordered a partial evacuation of the embassy.

The president also strolled by on his bicycle Wednesday morning as the press pool asked him questions. Several reporters shouted questions about Fitch Ratings’ credit rating downgrade from “AAA” to “AA+.” (RELATED: Biden Cycles Right By As Reporters Try To Question Him About Credit Downgrade)

The president has yet to make a public statement on the credit downgrade. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the agency’s decision “defies reality” in a Tuesday statement.

“We strongly disagree with this decision,” Jean-Pierre said. “The ratings model used by Fitch declined under President Trump and then improved under President Biden, and it defies reality to downgrade the United States at a moment when President Biden has delivered the strongest recovery of any major economy in the world.”
