A Twitter troll whose hobby was creating political memes was given a seven-month prison sentence on Wednesday for spreading election misinformation, according to the Daily Caller

Yes, we are jailing Americans for satirical memes.

Douglass Mackey, who ran a Twitter account with about 58,000 followers under the pseudonym Ricky Vaughn, was charged over a meme he shared on social media during the 2016 election and convicted by a jury of conspiring to deprive others of their right to vote.

“Avoid the line. Vote from home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925,” the offending meme read.

Is this a crime worthy of seven months in jail? Let me know in the comments!
