An ex-Obama official taunted a halal cart vendor in New York City several times since the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel by Hamas, the New York Post reported.
The video, posted on X, shows former White House security advisor Stuart Seldowitz harassing the vendor, who did not speak English, according to the New York Post. Seldowitz called the unidentified man a “terrorist” and suggested that he was a rapist.
“If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, it wasn’t enough,” Seldowitz said. “It wasn’t enough.”

Seldowitz served as a deputy director and senior official in the U.S. State Department’s Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs in the early 2000s and was the acting director of the National Security Council South Asia Directorate under the Obama administration, according to the New York Post.
Seldowitz repeatedly confronted the vendor for two weeks on the street corner in the Upper East Side, a Colombia graduate student who filmed the altercation alleged, according to the outlet. Different videos show Seldowitz wearing different outfits, suggesting the footage was captured on separate days.
“You support killing young children,” Seldowitz told the vendor in one video, according to the New York Post.
“Did you rape your daughter like Mohammad did?” Seldowitz asked the vendor in another video, allegedly filmed on a separate day.
Seldowitz threatened the vendor that he would be deported “back to Egypt” by the former official’s “friends in Immigration” after capturing the vendor’s photo, the outlet reported. The former senior political officer called the food cart operator “ignorant” and asked him to leave.

“The bottom line is, yes, that’s me,” Seldowitz said.
The New York City Police Department told the New York Post it is aware of Seldowitz’s behavior and is “monitoring the situation.”
