Police charged an 11-year-old from Virginia with robbery after he allegedly carjacked a DoorDash driver at gunpoint, the New York Post (NYP) reported Wednesday.

As the alleged victim, Deon Smith, made a delivery in an apartment complex in Richmond, she was allegedly robbed by an 11-year-old boy and 18-year-old Jahlia Henley, according to the NYP. Smith, who works full-time as a home health care nurse, reportedly said she thought the duo was seeking monetary assistance.

“But little did I know he was pointing a gun at me asking for my keys,” said Smith, according to the outlet. The situation reportedly escalated when the older suspect allegedly pointed a gun at her and demanded her car keys. “When he told me that he was going to shoot me, I was like, ‘Are you serious? You want to kill somebody at your age.'”

The suspects fled in Smith’s vehicle, which was later found crashed and burned, the NYP reported. Both suspects were reportedly transported to medical hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. They have been charged with robbery, according to police reports obtained by the NYP. (RELATED: Bodycam Video Shows Stolen Vehicle Suspect Come Under Hail Of Police Fire)

A GoFundMe was started to assist Smith and her 10-year-old daughter following the alleged carjacking.
