Republican Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso announced Thursday that his wife passed away following a battle with cancer.

Barrasso remembered his wife as “courageous” and a “fierce advocate for Wyoming” in a statement, according to Punch Bowl News’ Max Cohen.

“After a courageous battle with cancer, Bobbi is now at peace and at home with the Lord. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Bobbi was a leader, fierce advocate for Wyoming, and friend to everyone she met.”

Bobbi Barrasso underwent surgery in 2022 to remove an intracranial lesion, according to Wyoming News. (RELATED: SEN. JOHN BARRASSO: Who’s In Charge Here?)
