Doja Cat posted the cover art for her upcoming single, “Masc,” featuring a close-up of her hair, and fans immediately trolled the star, saying it looked like pubic hair.

Some fans were quick to slam the star by saying her tight curls looked like sheep’s wool, while others shot out insults at the singer by comparing the hair on her head to pubic hair. Fans relentlessly mocked the 28-year-old rapper about her appearance, which triggered a quick response. She posted an Instagram Story calling out her haters Sunday, then promptly turned off the comments to her post, instantly disabling the conversation from continuing on her social media account.

Doja Cat’s tight hair curl pattern is known as 4C hair, but fans didn’t care for an explanation – they laced into her and made fun of her style as soon as the photograph went up.

Disabling her comments only stopped the chatter on Doja Cat’s Instagram page, but fans kept the conversation strong by sharing their thoughts publicly on Twitter.

The rapper slapped back as she rose to her own defense.

I’m seeing a consistent pattern in my comments section, of people saying, ‘is that, is my hair pubic hair, is it carpet, or is it sheep’s wool?'” Doja Cat said.

“And it’s not even questions, some people are being like, ‘that’s what it is,'” she said.

“But like, people comparing my hair to sheep, and pubes, and carpet, and popcorn and shit like that, like, we gotta, we gotta, move forward.”

“Let’s move forward. Let’s grow,” she said.(RELATED: ‘You All Want Me To Look F*ckable’: Doja Cat Slams Haters For Trying To Dictate Her Style)
