The final trailer for “Civil War” was released Wednesday by A24, and it’ll make you perpetually scared of the collapse of America.

When the first trailer dropped for the upcoming all-star movie “Civil War,” my superb colleague Andrew Powell called it “fascinating — as both an American and Floridian.” The story follows a hypothetical civil war in the U.S., wherein 19 states secede from the Union, forming three different alliances that then all try to kill each other in a mad grab for power over, what, a failed state?

A follow-up trailer had us worried that Hollywood was going to vomit leftist drivel throughout what could be an epic film. Now, with the final trailer in our hands, I feel like we should be more worried about idiot citizens and residents trying to recreate this thing for fun ahead of the 2024 election.

Of all the potential scenarios that see the American Idea wiped from the face of the Earth, war is arguably the most fearsome. (RELATED: Oh No, What Propaganda Will Netflix Push In ‘Turning Point: The Bomb And The Cold War’?)

“As soon as D.C. falls, they’ll turn on each other,” one of the cast (I assume Jesse Plemons) says in a voiceover as the District is blown to smithereens. Do you think you’d survive in an America without GPS, electricity, supermarkets, Big Pharma, reality television, and McDonalds? My guess is most of you wouldn’t last a day. And that should make you nervous.

“Civil War” drops on April 12.
