A doorbell camera captured the wild moment that a car in California flew into the air and smashed into a residential home’s garage, the Daily Mail reported.
The dramatic accident happened early in the morning on April 4 near the city of San Bernardino when a black sedan lost control after trying to make a turn, launched into the air and landed on top of two parked pickup trucks before crashing through a homeowner’s garage, according to the Daily Mail.
Riverside County Fire Department (RCFD) officials said the driver was able to get himself out of the car and that he “suffered minor to moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance for further treatment,” the Daily Mail reported. Screeching tires can be heard in the video before the car hits the curb and flies into the garage, knocking into one of the parked trucks and setting off car alarms while debris is scattered into the air and yard.
The RCFD said that four cars and the home sustained “major damage” but that no residents were injured, the Daily Mail reported.
The video, which was posted on YouTube, elicited numerous comments, including one viewer noting, “The garage door crumpling slowed the car’s stop, otherwise the impact would have been more severe.”
“He was just trying to park in his garage, I mean there were cars in front, so he went over them,” another user joked.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
